We hired David in fall of 2007 to redo the exterior of our 1860s home, which was covered in asbestos shingle siding. He brought in a licensed asbestos-removal company to do the removal, and then he restored or replaced clapboards, corner columns, and moldings, consulting with us often and making every effort to be faithful to the house’s historical style. When it came time to paint, his crew did a great job. The end result is beautiful!! Throughout the job, David was super-nice and responsive to our needs. He obviously loves old houses and it shows in his attention to detail. We are happy to recommend David Thorn to anyone considering restoring an antique house.
